I am so excited to bring you our first ever contest! Etsy shop Enchanted Bridal is hosting a contest with us. She makes incredible rhinestone transfer designs that I’m completely in love with – there are a lot of wedding related ones, but also holidays and more. She’s looking for some new ideas of designs she can make, and we thought Disney in your Day readers would be the perfect people to ask!
The design I picked out from her shop – I’m excited to wear it for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party next week!
So here’s how you enter the contest:
Think of a design that you would like to see made into rhinestones for a transfer. Describe either in words or through a picture what it would look like. Post your idea here in the comments or on our facebook page. That’s it!
Hello everyone, it’s December! One of my absolute favorite times of the year. I love the Christmas season, and this year will be my first ever time visiting Disney World during it! In the last month I finished NaNoWriMo, which is National Novel Writing Month, if you’re not familiar. I managed to get a 50,000 word novel done in addition to one or two blog posts a week. Not too bad! But I’m looking forward to doing more blog content this month, now that I’m done with that.
Disney in your Day news
We have a few more shops to feature in our Etsy Holiday Gift Guide
this month, including at least one contest! For the Christmas season I want to share some posts about my experience in Disney World, but I also want to include some things about Disney in your home, and how you can bring some Disney magic to your Christmas celebrations wherever you are. If you have some good decorations, trees, or anything related to Christmas, please email me! You can reach it at email@example.com
There are so many things in my life that I’m thankful for right now. Family, friends, love, a great job, wonderful hobbies… I could just go on and on. And it’s certainly the time of year to do that. But one of the things in my life that makes me happiest, in all honest, is Disney. It brings me so much joy in so many ways, and I thought I would share some of the things about Disney that I’m most thankful for.
Nothing lights a fire in my soul like music, and Disney music is some of my favorites to listen to. It gets me through the happy times, when I just feel like getting up and dancing, and the sad times too. I am super excited about the soundtrack for Frozen, which just came out this year, and very thankful that we are adding some great songs to the Disney collection!
It’s been a fantastic year for Disney movies, in my humble opinion. Pixar brought us Monsters University, a prequel to one of my favorite Pixar films. And while not quite as great as the original, it definitely did not disappoint. Frozen was more fabulous than I could have hoped for, and Saving Mr. Banks blew me away. Can’t wait to see what 2014 has in store!
When I went in to see Saving Mr. Banks at a pre-screening, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I’d heard that it was a story between the woman who wrote Mary Poppins, P.L. Travers, and Walt Disney. That it was the process of turning her book into a movie. I thought there must be more to the plot than just that, because it didn’t sound super interesting. But at the end of the day, that’s really what the story is – and it’s done absolutely brilliantly. I was hooked the whole time, and found it to be really compelling and well told.
The movie basically weaves together the story of Mrs. Travers’ childhood growing up, and her two week stay in Los Angeles while consulting for the Mary Poppins movie. The transitions between flashbacks and modern day are seamless, and work really well on a number of levels, including symbolically. It was a fantastic way to tell the story. There is some great imagery and metaphors used throughout, and I appreciated the literary elements they incorporated to really help tell the story.
The seller I’m featuring today has a special spot on our list because she isn’t technically an Etsy seller. She makes all her own items but sells them through her own website, Magical Ribbons. I am very lucky that another Etsy seller told me about her shop, so that I was able to find her!
There are lots of Disney inspired hair ribbons on Etsy. Some are a lot nicer than others. But Magical Ribbons has some gorgeous, high quality stuff – and there are tons of different options for almost any movie or character you could imagine. Even the lesser known movies, like the Black Cauldron, are represented. I spent more time than I’d care to admit browsing all of the pretty bows, and imagining which ones I’d get if I had unlimited money!
This past Wednesday, I had the fortunate experience to be able to see a preview of Frozen at my local movie theater. Going into it, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The trailers hadn’t done much to wow me. They played up the funny gag aspect of the movie, but it didn’t seem to have a lot of depth. But I’m a sucker for princesses, so I was kind of excited to see what our newest princess would be like.
By the way, the movie started out with a short that was totally adorable. It literally combines the old school classic animation with the trends of today, with Mickey and his friends going in and out of a classic black and white frame. It was really fun, and I recommend that you see it in 3D if you have the chance to, because that really added a lot.
It’s that time again: to play kill, refurb, marry, with our good friends over at Mouse on the Mind and This Happy Place blog! This may come as a surprise to you, or it may not, but despite being a huge Disney fan I had never heard the phrase “Crescent Lake” before. In case you were ignorant like me, it happens to be the name of the lake that the Boardwalk and Beach Club resorts are on! So as far as I’m concerned, this category includes the restaurants at the Boardwalk, the Beach Club, and the Swan/Dolphin.
Now, I haven’t been to a huge amount of these restaurants. I’ve never been to any at the Swan or the Dolphin. So I’m basing my choices off a little bit of experience, but mostly what I’ve heard about each place and how much I think the idea and reputation appeals to me. So without further adieu, here are my choices…
KILL: ESPN Club
Sorry, but for me, a sports bar is something that I personally don’t think Disney really needs. I am not much of a sports fan, but even that aside I’m not big on the blatant over-advertising of the company. I know that Disney owns ESPN, but still. It’s nothing I have any desire to try. The food sounds like something you’d typically get from a bar or an Applebee’s type place, and from what I’ve heard from others the quality is probably comparable. I know lots of people need to stay in touch with their sports, but personally I like to escape from everything while I’m at Disney. Even TV shows that I watch religiously are given up during the week, so I guess needing to watch every sports game is something that I just don’t get. There are tons of great restaurants in this area, and I think they could do something a lot cooler with this space.
There’s a lot of Disney jewelry available, but a lot of the official stuff is a little bit too over the top and cheap looking… or the stuff that is classy is really expensive. However, Etsy is a great way to find amazing Disney jewelry! My favorite seller that I came across was Amanda Jane Designs. Her work is subtle but full of Disney magic. It combines charms and a phrase relating to the Disney movie it references.
Personally, October was a crazy month for me! I started a new job and the theater production that I’m in opened in mid-October. Lots of positive things have been happening, and I think November will continue the busy yet good pattern. I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving – a time to spend with family and to appreciate all that I have in life. Plus, after Thanksgiving is the start of the Christmas holidays for me! Though of course, Disney’s Christmas celebrations will start even sooner this month. It just gets me even more excited for my trip down there in December!
Disney in your Day News
Thank you for getting us over 500 facebook “likes”!
We are going to continue to feature Etsy shops from our Disney Holiday Gift Guide. There are still lots of great items to check out, so stay tuned for that! We’ll also have a few related giveaways coming up so I know you’ll want to participate in those two! Our two October giveaways, for a Rock City Skirt and some Disney art from Kathleen McCready, were big successes. And we now have over 500 facebook fans, which is incredibly exciting! Our restaurant tournament of the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios restaurants was completed, with Be Our Guest as the victor.
It came down to two. Magic Kingdom’s brand new Be Our Guest Restaurant, and the classic Hollywood Studios restaurant Sci-Fi Dine In. Both have great theming, fun food, and a good atmosphere. So which is the ultimate winner?
I’m so excited to bring you another great giveaway and review from one of our fabulous Etsy sellers in the holiday gift guide! Today we’ll be featuring Kathleen McCready Art.
Kathleen does incredible artwork with letters and words. She creates personalized name paintings with the letters made out of Disney inspired characters. There are princesses, princes, pirates, and fairies available. A popular choice is to have a name created out of these letters, but you can also choose to go with a word, like Believe (the one I got) or Smile (the one that we’re giving away!)
I have searched far and wide for a case for my phone that I liked. Every time I went to Disney World I searched the racks of phone cases hopelessly, praying that there would be a cover for my Motorola Razr. But alas, it was never to be. Almost every case is for the iPhone, with a few for the next Samsung Galaxy. So as much as I admired those Disney designs, i seemed I would never have a Disney case for my phone.
And then I discovered the Queen of Cases on Etsy. Not only did she have neat Disney designs, but she could make them for my phone!! I was in heaven. There are so many great things I could tell you about this Etsy shop, but let me start with just a few.
If you’re looking for an easy and comfortable Disney related Halloween costume, consider going as the Incredibles! Not only is it pretty easy to put together, but it’s a costume that the whole family can get in on, no matter if you have kids or not. My husband and I dressed up as them recently for a Halloween themed 5k, and it was a good costume option because it was easy to run in. If you’re interested in making your own, here’s what I did:
Up next on our featured Etsy Spotlights is a store called DoodleBug Bowtique. They make a variety of embroidered t-shirts and other items that can be personalized. They have a ton of interesting designs and their shirts would be great for many occasions, including a family trip to Disney World! It would be the perfect way to have matching shirts that are still personalized.
I was sent one of their t-shirts for review. The one pictured above is what I received. One of the things that I really like about this design is the fact that it’s a more subtle design, perfect for adults that may not want to be over the top with their Disney t-shirts. With a simple Minnie Mouse head in the pocket area, it’s a nice way to represent your love for Disney, and is a shirt that you could feel comfortable wearing not just in the parks, but on a daily basis.
And then there were two! We’re down to the final match up in our Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom restaurant tournament. Probably not too surprising to anyone, Animal Kingdom is no longer present in the final two. But representing the Magic Kingdom we have Be Our Guest, and representing Hollywood Studios is the Sci-Fi Dine In! Which of these two restaurants is your favorite?
Today I’m happy to bring you a review of another one of the Etsy shops featured in our Holiday gift guide. The shop we’re featuring today is Roaring Kids, which makes American Girl doll clothes. She has a variety of cute skirts, pants, and t-shirts, but the thing that really stands out for us Disney lovers in her Minnie Mouse outfit! This would be perfect for the young Disney fan who owns an American Girl doll, or those of us who still have our American Girl dolls
After receiving the the outfit, I had to decide which of my five American Girl dolls would get to wear it. Yes, I own five of them from my childhood – Kirsten, Felicity, Molly, Josefina, and Kit. Obviously Kit was the winner! I thought her short hair would look cute with the Minnie ears. And I think I was right! Kit is absolutely adorable in this Minnie costume. Now that I’ve got her all dressed up, she is sitting on the shelf in my Disney themed guest room. A perfect touch!
I first remember playing this game with friends in middle school, on our way to some sort of field trip. Of course, then it was “kill, date, marry,” and we giggled a lot about all of the boys in our class. However, the game has been taking on a new form in the blogging world, thanks to Melissa Sue from Mouse on the Mind and Estelle at this Happy Place Blog! They have been playing Kill, Refurb, and Marry with various Disney related places or attractions, and have invited other bloggers to join them in the game this week!
Today’s topic is the WDW resorts. This is a bit of a tough one for me, and I know my choices may be a bit controversial! But here goes…
KILL: All Star Sports
Image from disneyworld.com
The All Stars are a good option for a value resort, but do we really need three of them? Out of the choices, my least favorite theme is the sports. I’m just not a sports fan, so it’s an obvious kill for me. I’ve never stayed here, but I’ve heard it can get overcrowded with people from sports related conventions. It also shares a bus with the other All Stars so that can get a bit crazy, in addition to being far from MK. It’s the one resort that I really don’t have any desire to stay at, so for me it must go.
I am extremely excited to present the first review of an Etsy shop from my Disney Etsy Holiday Gift Guide! And not only do I have a review of an fantastic item for you, I also have a giveaway so you can get your very own Rock City Skirt
I was never the athletic type growing up. One of the most dreaded days of the school year was when we had to do the mile run, because I did not like running. I dreaded it. Fast forward to when I got out of college. I needed a way to exercise and had no money for a gym membership – so running seemed the obvious choice, though I remembered how much I had hated it back in high school. Nevertheless, I told myself I would start slowly – mostly walking, with some jogging thrown in.
We’re down to just two match-ups: it’s Be Our Guest vs. Crystal Palace, and Sci-Fi vs. Yak and Yeti. Which two do you think belong in the finals? Place your votes now by commenting on this blog post!
Please welcome guest blogger Michelle Ortiz, who shares how she created her very own Fall Mickey wreath!
I was inspired by a fellow Disney fan who had a simple Mickey and Minnie on her garage doors and posted the pictures on Facebook. I had no idea how she did it, but I knew the look I was going for. My husband and I bought our house a year ago, and haven’t had a lot of time, or money for decorating for various seasons…so I have been trying to do a few DIY projects to help us look like we live there!
So I thought of this project for our door wreath, and it would be good for Fall, Halloween (if I didn’t have time to do a different one) and Thanksgiving…so basically, I was set until Christmas if I didn’t have time for another one.
It’s October, and you know what that means – the start of the long stretch of holidays! Halloween is at the end of this month, followed by Thanksgiving and then of course Christmas! I love celebrating, and no place does it better than Disney World! Though I won’t be down there this month, I still plan to do something Disney for my Halloween costume – my husband and I are going are Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.
Disney in your Day News
Once again, October is going to be a great month for the blog! September was fantastic. We had a giveaway with three winners – congratulations to Maria M., Debbie R., and Brandy F.! They will each be receiving an item from Etsy shop a Wish upon a Charm, which will ship out sometime next week. Everyone else, there will be plenty more chances to win things – I have at least 4 more giveaways in the works for the next few months! Hopefully our first one will be within another week or two!
We also launched our big fall project yesterday, the Disney Etsy Holiday Gift Guide. It’s a list of some of the best Disney items I found on Etsy, which would make the perfect gift for a Disney lover! As part of this project we will also be featuring reviews of many of the items on the list, as well as a few giveaways! Etsy Spotlights will start this month and continue on until Christmas.
It’s that time of year when it’s time to start thinking about Christmas presents! Buying presents for a Disney lover can be difficult, especially Disney adults. Many of the items available are too childlike, or else Disney fans already own a lot of what is out there. Then I discovered Etsy. There are so many amazing crafters on there that create unique and original pieces that would be perfect for a Disney lover! Whether you’re buying for someone else, want to get something special for yourself, or you’re trying to put together a list of items you might want for the holidays, odds are very good that there will be something you like.
There is a complete listing of the items in our gift guide up on the bar at the top of the page, under “Disney Etsy Holiday Gift Guide.” There are 4 categories – accessories, clothing, for kids, and miscellaneous. In addition, throughout the next few months I will be sharing spotlights on certain Etsy shops with an up-close look at their products. Finally, we’ll have a few giveaways thrown in too – because what’s a holiday season without a little giving?
What’s your favorite item on the list? What would you like to see more of?
The first round of our “other parks” restaurant bracket is over! Now we need your votes on the restaurants that made the cut. In this case Yak and Yeti is getting a free pass to the third round, just to even things out. You can cast your votes on these new match ups by commenting here on the blog, or on our facebook page! Are you surprised by any of the restaurants that made it to round 2 (or the ones that didn’t?)
It’s probably happened to all of us. You’re in Animal Kingdom, on the safari, and you spot a giraffe or an elephant close ahead. You get ready to capture the perfect picture…. and the animal turns around and shows you its butt. These used to be photos that I would immediately delete off my camera. However, it started happening so often that I thought they were funny, and figured, why not save them? At this point I had so many I could create my own photo gallery and call it “Animal Butts.” I have some great pictures of the animals (check out my post on the Wild Africa Trek), but this is more of my “blooper reel,” if you will.
And just for fun, I thought I’d share them all with you! ;) Do you think you have an animal butt photo to rival mine? I’d love to see them!
One of the other items on my bucket list was to meet all of the Disney Princesses. The Princes, however, are a lot harder to find. Some of them pop up frequently enough to check off the list, and others are almost impossible.
Though Flynn has technically become a prince since marrying Rapunzel, you won’t find him in Princely outfits! A few years ago he was out doing meet and greets with Rapunzel, but ever since Merida took over that area you find Rapunzel on her own. Rumor has it though that Flynn can still be found in Disneyland and Tokyo Disney, as well as on special occasions (like True Love week this past February).
Some of you that have been following along with the blog may remember the Epcot restaurant tournament we hosted two months ago! The favorite from Epcot turned out to be Le Cellier. This time around, I thought it would be fun to do a match-up of the “other parks” – Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. I hope to eventually do a resorts tournament and a Downtown Disney tournament, and then stack all of the winners against each other!
All you have to do to cast your vote is to comment on this blog post, or comment on the facebook page. Please try to place a vote for each match up, even if you haven’t eaten there – it’s just for fun, so take a guess at which one you would like more, or choose which one sounds more appealing to you! For this first round, you should have 7 restaurants listed.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts and any comments you might have on the restaurants!
On my most recent trip to Disney, I had the opportunity to do something I have wanted to do for a long time – the Wild Africa Trek. I love Animal Kingdom and photographing the animals is one of my favorite things, so I was super excited about having the chance to get up close and personal with them!
We checked in about 15 minutes before the Trek was supposed to start. We were weighed to make sure we were under the 300 pound weight limit, and then we were hooked up with supplies and stuff. We got a vest, a harness, a water bottle (that we could keep after the Trek!), and an audio guide so we could hear our guides talking. If you had sunglasses they gave you a string to put around them so they wouldn’t fall off, and if you wanted to bring your camera they gave you a clip and a cord so you could attach it to your vest. Anything else you had was stored in a locker.
Have you heard of Dapper Day? If not, check out this website. It’s basically a day where you can get all dressed up and go to Disney like they used to do when the parks first opened. Our friends over at Mouse on the Mind and This Happy Place blog have started a countdown for this year’s Dapper Day, and in celebration they are sharing some dapper related posts. I was lucky enough to contribute this week!
I’ve never been able to attend an official Dapper Day, but I would love to some day (in fact, it’s one of the items on my Disney Bucket List!). So when Melissa Sue asked me to write a “dapper” blog post I was definitely in. However, once I started thinking about what to write, I was a little stumped. What exactly does it mean to be dapper? I had to turn to my friend, the trusty dictionary.
Merriam-Webster defines dapper as: “neat and trim in appearance” and “very spruce and stylish.” This fits in very well with the idea of Dapper Day and getting dressed up in your stylish clothes. So then I thought, “if you’re all dressed up for Dapper Day, you’re going to want to take lots of photos to commemorate the occasion! Where would be the best place to take some dapper photos?” And then I came up with this list!
This one’s kind of a given, since the Dapper Day events start off at Hollywood Studios. With a retro Hollywood vibe to the park, it’s the perfect place to take some photos to show off your fancy duds.

A couple of days ago Disney announced that they would be bringing the Little Mermaid back to theaters, but this time as part of something called “Second Screen Live.” They are billing it as an interactive showing of the movie. The way that they are achieving that “interaction” is through an iPad app. They say that with the app you “can interact with the film, play games, find hidden treasure, sing along, and compete with the audience for the chance to win great prizes.”
I am not pleased with this idea. Don’t get me wrong, I love technology. It can do many great things for us, and make a lot of tasks easier. But I believe the extent to which we use technology and are encouraged to work in this multitasking world can be harmful as well. I work with children and while kids are notorious for not having great attention spans to begin with, it’s only getting worse. They can’t focus on one task for an extended period of time.
My husband I recently celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. I had already bought him a few things, but I decided I’d like to make something too. I searched around for ideas and I came across a cute printable on Etsy from Wish Upon a Star that featured a map of the US with the Up house over the location where you live. Since we had just moved into a new house I thought this would be the perfect present for my husband! I bought that and then decided to make my own Up themed picture frame to go with it.
This is one of those “infamous Disney drinks” that you simply must get when you eat or drink at the Poly! During my February visit to Disney World I was lucky enough to have dinner at Ohana for the first time. That was an experience in and of itself, but one of the many highlights was finally being able to try this great pineapple drink! I recreated my own version at home (unfortunately I didn’t have a pineapple to serve it in, but it still tasted good!). I also changed the recipe very slightly. It calls for the drink to be topped off with Bacardi 151, but the Lapu Lapu is a pretty alcoholic drink to begin with, so I left that out of mine. If you want to be as authentic as possible you would probably want to add it, but if you’re looking for something not quite as strong it’s still just as good without the 151.
Disney Infinity has been out for a few weeks now, and I’ve had the chance to put about 10 hours into the game. So I wanted to share my initial thoughts with you on it! Keep in mind that this is really a “Disney fan” review rather than a “video gamer” review. My husband is the gamer, but I rarely play video games. These are also just my first thoughts from the initial exposure to the game – there is tons we haven’t even tried yet!
I have only tried one of the playsets so far, and that’s Monsters University. You get missions to complete and along the way you can collect prizes, experience, and unlock toys and other things. I imagine that for the most part, most of the playsets work the same way. I’m a person that generally prefers to have some sort of structure – I want goals to achieve. The missions are not too hard for a non-gamer like me, but still seem interesting to my husband, so it seems to be a good balance. There is one main storyline with missions to complete in the playset, as well as side missions. Then you can also try to collect all of the items and complete all of the “gold star” missions. So there’s plenty to do!
Picture from the Disney Parks Blog.
Back in March, Disney announced a major overhaul of Downtown Disney, which will be rethemed as “Disney Springs.” We don’t know a lot about this new area yet, other than the fact that we will be gaining a lot of new restaurants and shops, and it is set to be completed by 2016. However, Downtown Disney isn’t just expanding, it’s changing. That means that many of the shops and restaurants that are already there could be replaced with something else. So which places should make the cut? It’s a hard choice, but here are my thoughts based on my experiences and what I’ve heard. This is all pure speculation, of course!
Hello everyone, and welcome to September! For me it’s a great month. I love when the weather cools down a little, and our anniversary is tomorrow so that’s always a good time to celebrate. Plus, if you’re visiting Disney it’s a great time of year to go! We went in September two years ago for our honeymoon and loved it. The parks were empty and no lines for anything. Hope your September will be magical!
Disney in your Day news
Lots of exciting news for the blog! First of all, we just finished our first giveaway. Congratulations to Monique Brown Phelps for winning! I hope you enjoy your prize! And for everyone else, don’t fret, because there will definitely be more giveaways to come. I have a few pretty exciting ones lined up, so stayed tuned!
A lot of you mentioned that you like seeing craft projects and recipes, so expect a lot more of those posts. I’ll also be keeping you up to date with theme park news and sharing theme park related posts, including planning tips and visiting Disney on a budget. I have some friends in the parks right now or visiting soon that are going to share their thoughts on Magic Bands, so if you’re curious about that then we’ll have some info to share. And now that the fall season is starting I also want to share seasonally related things. Have any photos of Disney themed autumn decor? Send them to firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to be featured!
Finally, I have a really exciting project I’m working on that I plan to get up the first week of October. It’s something for the holiday season and I think you all will love it! I can’t reveal anything yet, but I can’t tell you how excited I am about it! So for those of you that like crafts, Christmas, and giveaways, this new project/column will debut in October!
When I found out I would have the chance to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge twice while at Disney this year, I was extremely excited. The Animal Kingdom Lodge was like my dream resort. Animal Kingdom is arguably my favorite park, and the safari is my favorite thing to do there. So the idea of having those animals roaming around right where I was staying was incredible!
I once shared a similar post on another blog I write for, Come Home to Disney, but I thought this was worth sharing again here for two reasons: 1. we have a lot of new readers over here, and 2. a few of the restaurants have changed since I created this list. I love creating lists but especially checking things off lists, and this Disney restaurant list is a great way to keep track of which restaurants I’ve been to!
If you had a copy of the old one, there are a few current changes to the checklist. The first is the name change of Bistro de Paris to Monsieur Paul. The second is the addition of Spice Road Table: though it’s not open yet, this Moroccan restaurant in Epcot is supposed to open by the end of the year so it made sense to include it! And finally, in Downtown Disney Cap’n Jack’s Restaurant has closed. I suspect a lot of the restaurants in Downtown Disney will be changing as it goes through its major renovation, so I’ll be updating this checklist periodically.
How many Disney restaurants have you been to? I’m at 26, but I want to eventually get to them all!
I don’t know about you, but I love to collect Disney park recipes to try and replicate my favorite food and drink from the parks. I’ve already posted the recipe for 1900 Park Fare’s Strawberry Soup and Wild Africa Trek’s Curried Chicken Salad. I put all of my recipes onto cards, and then decided I needed a recipe box – so I set forth to make one!
I am extremely excited to announce Disney in your Day’s very first giveaway! I love giveaways, don’t you? For our first one we’re giving away a Disney theme park prize pack – this has a bunch of items that will be very useful for your next trip to Disney! So what do you get?
- A reusable bag, useful for carrying stuff around the parks!
- A Minnie t-shirt for you or the woman in your life to show your Disney spirit while on vacation (size Women’s large)
- A vinylmation – Pepe the Prawn from Muppets 2, but you can always trade around the parks for a different one!
- A pin, also for trading
- A water bottle, because it’s important to stay hydrated in the Florida heat
- A Bullseye stuffed animal purse – great for kids or adults!
- Minnie Mouse hair ties
- A Disney Princess pen with string attached, perfect to wear around your neck while getting autographs
- 3 Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cards, to help you with your collection
All you have to do to enter is to fill out the rafflecopter form in the link below. The contest closes at 11:59pm on September 1st. Sorry, this giveaway is open to US residents only. The winner will receive an email to tell them they’ve won, and the winner will also be announced on the blog!
After going on the Wild Africa Trek a few weeks ago, there were a lot of things that I loved. But aside from seeing all of the animals, I couldn’t get over how delicious the lunch was! We were given a little bucket with samples of many different things, but my favorite by far was the Curried Chicken Salad. I was lucky enough to find the recipe right on the Disney Parks blog, so I set out to make it myself.
On the Wild Africa Trek – the chicken curry is on the bottom right corner.
